FAQ
Everything you need to know.
What exactly is Frood?
Frood is a ready-to-cook vegetable and spice blend made from real ingredients and nothing else. The vegetables, herbs and spices are gently dehydrated to keep their flavour and nutrients, then blended to Frida's recipes that have been perfected in her kitchen. Add your protein and you have a home-made dinner for four in 15 to 20 minutes, high in fibre and nothing ultra-processed.
What do I need to add?
Your protein, and a little water. Mince, chicken, beans, lentils and tofu all work, so pick whatever suits the meal and your taste. The exact amounts are on the pack and on every product page.
Can I cook it more than one way?
Yes, and in two ways. Start with any protein you like and serve it however suits your table, with pasta, rice, mash or flatbreads. Then there is what else the blends can do: Bella Bolognese layered into a lasagne, Swedish Meatball shaped into burgers, Golden Curry in savoury pancakes, Mexi Fiesta in savoury cupcakes. You can find them all on our recipe page.
What are the benefits of using Frood?
The prep is done, so a home-made dinner takes 15 to 20 minutes. Every blend is made from real ingredients and nothing else: high in fibre, nothing ultra-processed, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. One pack feeds four and works with any protein, so it is one dinner for the whole family or batch cooked for a busy week. At £12 for a box of four, that is 75p a portion, and you still cooked it yourself. Made in the UK, in recyclable packaging.
Who is it for?
Anyone with a busy life who still wants to eat wholesome, home-made food. Every blend is dairy free and vegan, and you choose the protein, so the same pack works whether dinner is meat, fish or plant-based. Full ingredients and allergens are listed on every pack and product page.
Where can I buy it?
Frood is in Tesco and Ocado, and here at frood.com. Online you can pick your own box of four blends for £12, or subscribe and save 10%.
